The Technology Behind Better Eye Care

We invest in advanced equipment because it helps us catch problems earlier, diagnose more accurately, and create treatment plans tailored specifically to your eyes.

Here's what makes a difference:

Humphrey Visual Field Analyzers (HFA II-i & FDT)

These map your entire field of vision to detect glaucoma damage—even subtle changes you wouldn't notice yet. Catching glaucoma early is critical because vision loss from it can't be reversed, only prevented.

Topcon Maestro 2 (OCT Imaging)

Think of this as an MRI for your eyes. It creates detailed 3D images of your retina and optic nerve—letting us spot early signs of macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease long before you notice symptoms. Early detection means better outcomes.

TRS-6100 Digital Refractor

No more "which is better, one or two?" guessing games. This computerized system determines your exact prescription faster and more accurately, so your glasses actually work the way they should.

OPD-Scan III Wavefront Aberrometer

This all-in-one system maps your cornea's shape and measures how light travels through your eye. It's essential for fitting specialty contact lenses (like sclerals or ortho-k) and diagnosing conditions like keratoconus or astigmatism with precision.

TX-F Non-Contact Tonometer

Measures eye pressure without the puff of air (or with a gentler one). Elevated pressure is a key glaucoma risk factor, and automated measurement means consistently accurate results every time.

Marco Phoenix Meibography Workstation

This specialized system gives us an incredibly detailed look at the meibomian glands in your eyelids—the tiny oil glands responsible for keeping your tears from evaporating too quickly. When these glands become blocked or dysfunctional (meibomian gland dysfunction), it's the leading cause of dry eye disease. The high-resolution Phoenix images combined with advanced software analysis, gives us a complete picture of what's causing your dry eye symptoms.

Optos Ultra-Widefield Retinal Imaging

Traditional retinal imaging captures only about 15-20% of your retina—missing critical areas in the periphery where serious problems often first appear. Our Optos system captures over 80% (200 degrees) of your retina in a single, quick image. This ultra-widefield technology allows us to discover, diagnose, document, and treat conditions like retinal tears, detachments, melanomas, and diabetic retinopathy that might go completely undetected with standard examination techniques.

Why This Matters to You

Better technology = earlier detection + more accurate diagnoses + custom treatments designed for your unique eyes. You get answers faster and solutions that actually work.
